Whilst awaiting more permanent accommodation we provide 24 hour support offering help and guidance with Housing and Benefit claims, teaching important life and social skills, and encouraging them to pursue education and training.
Members of staff work very hard with our residents, concentrating mainly on ensuring they have the skills to successfully maintain an independent life when they take on their own tenancies. Residents are taught how to shop and cook within a limited budget, receiving a ‘Get Cooking’ certificate in recognition of their efforts. They learn communication, computer and D.I.Y. skills, health and hygiene awareness etc.
